A peer-to-peer marketplace for the Baylor community to trade, sell, and share dorm essentials - built around campus affordability and sustainability.
ShareBear is a marketplace built exclusively for Baylor students. The idea started from a real problem: tuition keeps climbing and dorms fill with things people either can’t afford to buy new or can’t justify throwing away. The platform lets students trade dorm essentials peer-to-peer, keeping value inside the campus community.
Built with Django 6 and Supabase Postgres, with a custom user model tied to Baylor student identity. Developed in collaboration with 180 Degrees Consulting BU under Scrum: a tracked backlog, ticket system, and Git conventions from day one. Piloting in May 2026 after pitching to Sustainability, Student Government, and Student Foundation for seed funding.
